Julie Scott:

Julie is a Cape Codder who moved to the island in 2008. She grew up spending as much time on farms as possible and discovered her interest in non profits while receiving her bachelors degree in sustainable agriculture. She has worked on non profit educational farms all over the country before settling on the island and running the farm at the Farm Institute for 7 years. She has been involved with Slough Farm since it was just an idea, and became the Executive Director, while still running the farm in 2020. She is on the board of the MV Agricultural Society and has a deep passion for connecting kids with farming, especially livestock. When she is not on the farm she can be found driving her kids around the island to various activities, swimming with horses, jumping on trampolines and spending time with friends, family and dogs.
